Transforming Traditional Procurement into Modern Practices: Lessons from Catholic University of Mbeya (CUoM)

Abstract

This study investigates the transformation from traditional to modern procurement practices at the Catholic University of Mbeya (CUoM). It explores the challenges faced, the strategies employed, and the resulting effects on efficiency and cost control. Using both qualitative and quantitative methods, the research highlights the value of digital tools and sustainable procurement. The findings offer practical insights for Tanzanian educational institutions aiming to modernize their procurement systems.
