Growing energy demand and increasing solid waste generation have intensified the need for sustainable Waste-To-Energy (WTE) technologies. Waste materials such as paper, plastic, wood, and rubber possess significant calorific value and can be thermally converted into usable electricity. This study presents a prototype system that utilizes thermal combustion to generate heat, which is converted into electrical energy using heating panels and stored in a 12-V rechargeable battery. The system additionally incorporates a temperature-based control circuit and a simple pollution-control arrangement to reduce toxic gases. Results show that the prototype successfully converts waste heat into electrical power, demonstrating the feasibility of small-scale WTE applications. The model highlights the potential of waste-derived energy in supporting renewable energy goals and reducing environmental pollution.
