Abstract

Battery performance, efficiency, and overall vehicle longevity are all impacted by the ongoing developments in charging technologies brought about by the quick uptake of electric vehicles. Various EV charging techniques, including slow, fast, and ultra-fast charging, are thoroughly reviewed in this paper, along with their implications for battery health. Important elements including depth of discharge, thermal impact, state-of-charge (SOC) control, and battery degradation mechanisms are thoroughly examined. The study also examines the impact of various charging techniques on battery reliability, cycle life, and overall energy efficiency. There is a discussion of issues with battery stress, the best ways to charge batteries, and striking a balance between charging speed and longevity. With a focus on its effects on battery health and long-term vehicle performance, this review seeks to shed light on the changing landscape of EV charging.
