Abstract

The production of automobiles is among the most significant industries in the economy of the entire world, and it is under increasing pressure to move towards environmentally friendly procedures owing to growing environmental issues, legal requirements, and the need for a competitive advantage. This study investigated the role of the Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in developing green manufacturing processes, including their benefits, drawbacks, and potential growth possibilities. This literature analysis compares green and traditional manufacturing in the automotive sector and shows that companies can reduce waste and energy, lower production costs, and increase sustainability. To enhance the potential for sustainable manufacturing, systematic integration of Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) should handle all environmental concerns that arise during material procurement and product disposal along the supply chain. Green manufacturing can be developed as a foundation for sustainable development, resulting in an environmentally conscious, resistant, and resilient industrial future.
