Abstract

Oxygen concentrator generator using Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) technology, a widely used method for producing high-purity oxygen. The PSA oxygen concentrator generator has numerous advantages, including high oxygen purity, energy efficiency, and low maintenance costs. The medical field benefits from PSA oxygen concentrators, which provide oxygen therapy for patients with respiratory conditions. The PSA oxygen concentrator generator operates by using a zeolite material to separate oxygen from nitrogen in the air, resulting in a high-purity oxygen product. The advantages of PSA oxygen concentrators include high oxygen purity, energy efficiency, and low maintenance costs. However, there are limitations and challenges, such as requiring a clean and dry air supply and sensitivity to temperature and humidity. Despite these challenges, PSA oxygen concentrators have numerous applications in medical, industrial, and environmental fields. The future scope of PSA oxygen concentrators is vast, with potential applications in portable and compact designs, industrial processes, and environmental monitoring. Oxygen is included in the list of essential medicines, yet it's not widely available in remote/developing countries which results in the death of patients. The shortage of oxygen occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic which resulted in major loss of life. Also use of oxygen has extended from inpatient to outpatient settings for patients with chronic pulmonary diseases and complications of hypoxemia. Also, the supply of oxygen in disaster situations and snowbound mountain areas is a complex issue. The reason for the lack of oxygen availability has to do with cost and lack of infrastructure to maintain and install oxygen supply. The second issue arises with the supply of oxygen cylinders in disaster or hard-to-reach areas. This project proposes an alternative device that will process environmental oxygen in compressed form which can be supplied to patients. An oxygen concentrator is a device that takes oxygen from its surroundings and processes it to make compressed oxygen which can be supplied to the patient in need. Oxygen concentrators are devices that run on a power supply, are easy to carry, and provide a sustainable percentage of oxygen. Oxygen concentrators are highly reliable and cost less. The oxygen concentrator generator using PSA technology has revolutionized the way oxygen is produced and supplied. This technology has numerous advantages, including high oxygen purity, energy efficiency, and low maintenance costs. The PSA oxygen concentrator generator is widely used in various industries, including medical, industrial, and environmental applications. In the medical field, PSA oxygen concentrators are used to provide oxygen therapy for patients with respiratory conditions, such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and pneumonia. The use of PSA oxygen concentrators in hospitals and clinics has improved patient outcomes and reduced the need for traditional oxygen cylinders.
