The rapid growth of Internet of Things (IoT) devices in agriculture underscores the critical need for secure authentication methods to protect sensitive information and ensure the smooth operation of farming systems. This paper introduces a comprehensive authentication mechanism tailored specifically for agricultural IoT applications. The proposed system utilizes advanced secure protocols and unique device-specific identifiers to verify the authenticity of each IoT device attempting to connect to the network. Once a device is authenticated, it gains access to the gateway network, enabling seamless data exchange and communication within the system. Conversely, unauthorized devices are promptly identified and flagged, preventing potential security breaches. This robust authentication system fortifies the security infrastructure of agricultural IoT networks and enhances the resilience and efficiency of farming operations. By implementing such a mechanism, agricultural practices can benefit from increased protection, improved operational continuity, more reliable data management, and enhanced decision-making capabilities.
