The traditional milk supply chain faces persistent challenges including lack of transparency, delayed payments, product adulteration, and inefficient traceability mechanisms. This paper presents a blockchain-based implementation aimed at resolving these issues through a decentralized, tamper-proof system using Ethereum’s test blockchain environment. The proposed system leverages Ganache for local blockchain deployment, MetaMask for wallet integration and transaction signing, and VS Code as the development environment for implementing smart contracts in Solidity, frontend interfaces using HTML/CSS/JavaScript, and backend logic with Python. Data pertaining to milk collection, transportation, quality metrics, and payment transactions are recorded and validated on the blockchain. Smart contracts are developed to automate fair payments and record immutable trace logs for each milk batch. Sample datasets in CSV format simulate the milk lifecycle and are parsed using Python for real-time integration into the blockchain. The results show that each transaction (such as quality approval, batch transfer, and farmer payment) is transparently recorded in the Ganache transaction history, ensuring end-to-end traceability and eliminating manual errors or fraud. This implementation validates the feasibility of integrating blockchain into agricultural supply chains and highlights the effectiveness of Decentralized Applications (dApps) in ensuring trust, security, and operational efficiency in the dairy industry.
