The present research endeavors to develop an herbal infusion formulation incorporating Symplocos racemosa (Lodhra) extract for the management of leucorrhoea, a prevalent gynecological condition characterized by abnormal vaginal discharge. The study objectives encompass the extraction and phytochemical profiling of bioactive constituents from S. racemosa, formulation and optimization of the infusion, and evaluation of its physicochemical characteristics and stability. The extract was obtained via solvent extraction and subjected to phytochemical screening, revealing the presence of alkaloids, flavonoids, and tannins- compounds known for their astringent, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory activities. A palatable formulation was developed using appropriate excipients, with sucralose incorporated to mask the inherent bitterness of the Lodhra extract, thereby enhancing patient compliance. Comprehensive evaluation of the formulation was conducted based on physicochemical parameters including pH, clarity, viscosity, and organoleptic properties. Stability studies were performed under both accelerated and real-time conditions, demonstrating that the formulation retained its integrity and remained within acceptable limits throughout the storage period. The findings suggest that the developed herbal infusion is a stable, safe, and cost-effective alternative to conventional therapies for leucorrhoea. Its ease of preparation, favorable patient acceptability, and potential for scalability underscore its suitability for broader clinical application. With further clinical validation, this formulation may serve as a viable natural therapeutic and reinforce the integration of traditional herbal medicine into modern healthcare paradigms.
