Abstract

Objectives: The study aimed to assess the challenges faced by nurses working at mental hospitals in Bangladesh. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted among 101 nurses selected using convenience sampling. Data were collected by self-administered questionnaire using two instruments. After data collection, it was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The study was conducted from January 2023 to December 2023. Results: There was a significant relationship between age, gender, working experience, professional education, workplace, marital status, and monthly income, which was challenging for the nurses. Conclusion: There was a significant relationship between some demographic variables and the challenges of the nurses. Developing a training program will improve nurses' knowledge and minimize workplace challenges.
