A Study to Evaluate the Knowledge of Organ Donation amidst Under Graduate Students of Selected Arts and Science Colleges, Salem

Objectives: 1. to assess the knowledge on organ donation among undergraduate students of selected arts and science colleges, Salem. 2. To rule out the association amidst knowledge regarding organ donation and their preferred demographic variables. Methods: A quantitative study with a descriptive research design was utilized. The probability random sampling technique preferred 100 students. Tools: The tool consists of Demographic variables and structured questionnaires on knowledge about organ donation. Results: 54% of individuals got inadequate knowledge, and 46% got adequate knowledge regarding skin donation. 67% got insufficient knowledge, and 33%got adequate knowledge of bone marrow donation, 83% got inadequate knowledge, and 17% got sufficient knowledge regarding heart donation. Conclusion: This was done to evaluate undergraduate students' knowledge of organ donation. The result showed that among 100 samples about general information on organ donation, the majority, 65, had insufficient knowledge, and only 35 had sufficient knowledge level.
