Abstract

Neuropathic pain is a debilitating complication of diabetes that significantly affects patients' quality of life. Traditional pharmacological treatments often fall short in managing this complex condition, highlighting the need for holistic and coordinated approaches. Bundles of nursing care, which integrate multiple evidence-based interventions, provide a comprehensive strategy for addressing the multifactorial nature of diabetic neuropathic pain. This review explores the components of nursing care bundles—patient education, glycemic control, foot care, physical activity, pharmacological management, and psychosocial support and their collective impact on pain reduction and improved quality of life. Evidence from recent studies indicates that these care bundles not only alleviate pain but also enhance adherence to treatment regimens, improve functional outcomes, and support patients' emotional well-being. Despite their proven effectiveness, challenges such as resource limitations and the need for standardized implementation protocols remain. Addressing these barriers through adequate training, resource allocation, and further research is essential to maximize the potential of nursing care bundles in managing neuropathic pain.
