Abstract

This study examines how digitalization impacts the performance of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), highlighting the challenges they face in adapting to rapidly evolving digital technologies. Using a quantitative approach, we gathered data through a meticulously crafted survey that examined different factors impacting SME performance. The analysis brought out a two factor result that accounted for 80.283% of the variance in the data, indicating strong relationships between the identified constructs.
The research underscores the critical role of digital presence for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), enabling them to reach a broader consumer base and drive economic development. Despite its advantages, SMEs often need help with high initial costs and limited technical resources, which can impede their competitiveness against more giant corporations. Overall, this research contributes to our understanding of how SMEs can leverage digitalization for growth while tackling the challenges they face in the digital landscape.
