Abstract

Sustainable composites, green composites, or eco friendly composites are man made materials designed to reduce environmental impact on the environment wherever they are used. More and more people are turning to green composites as a more eco friendly and long term replacement for traditional materials. The materials used to make green composites are often those that can be renewed or recycled. Biopolymers made from corn starch or soy protein are one example of a material, but natural fibres like flax, jute, hemp, and bamboo can also be used. The use of these materials helps reduce reliance on plastics made from petroleum and other non renewable resources. When compared to traditional composites made from fossil fuels, the emissions of greenhouse gases from green composite production are often lower. This makes them more eco friendly, particularly when it comes to climate change mitigation. Automotive, building, aerospace, as well as consumer goods are just a few of the many industries that make use of green composites. Products including automobile components, building supplies, packaging, and furnishings make use of them.
