The construction industry is vital to India’s economic growth but continues to face persistent challenges such as project delays, cost overruns, and structural failures. This research identifies key success and failure factors in Indian construction projects. It evaluates how modern mitigation tools Building Information Modelling (BIM), project management software, and cloud-based collaboration can address these challenges. The study explores how adopting digital solutions and innovative methodologies can improve design, time, and cost management while fostering transparency, coordination, and operational efficiency. Key findings highlight that common failure factors such as consultant competence, poor communication, inadequate planning, and limited risk management can be mitigated through the strategic use of these tools, promoting sustainable and resilient construction practices. This study contributes to advancing construction management by offering practical insights to industry professionals to leverage technology in overcoming traditional challenges.
