This study examines the attitudes of teachers and students towards new technology in the education sector. Today, technology is demonstrating its positive impact across various fields, including education. Projectors, smart boards, whiteboards, connectors, and computers have enhanced teachers' instructional abilities and helped students become more self-reliant in their learning.
Primary data for this study were collected from respondents through a self-structured questionnaire and interviews. The sample included 22 teachers and 48 students from 5 private secondary schools in the Ambala district of Haryana state. Stratified random sampling was used to select the respondents. Statistical tools employed in the analysis include frequency counts, percentages, and means.
The findings indicate that technology has positively impacted the academic performance of both students and teachers. It has saved time and made processes more convenient for everyone. However, the study also found that a teacher's ability to teach effectively has a greater impact on students' academic achievement than the teacher's computer literacy or technical proficiency.
