Abstract

The crops we grow and the supply networks that bring them to us are a big part of the lives of farmers and how they make a living. They affect both farmers and consumers and make sure that critical food supplies keep coming in. It is full of problems, including inefficiency, lack of transparency, and unfair pricing, which hurt both farmers and consumers. This study suggests SmartAgroChain, a blockchain-based system that lets farmers post information about their crops and expected pricing. This starts a transparent, community-driven bidding and auction system that includes retailers. All price negotiations and trade-related activities are done through blockchain-based transactions to make sure that records are safe and that everyone is held accountable. The system uses Ethereum-based smart contracts to automate checking bids, locking payments in escrow, and releasing funds only when a transaction is completed. AgriTrust encourages fair pricing, builds confidence, and makes financial security stronger by getting rid of middlemen and adding safe decentralized protocols. A performance test done in semi-urban and rural deployment contexts shows that the system can handle more users, more transactions, and more sales than typical markets. Agritrust creates a dependable and fair agricultural trade environment by using decentralized architecture, transparent bidding algorithms, and blockchain-secured escrow payments. This makes stakeholders more confident and improves the efficiency of operations.
