Government started this programme to help exports, local farmers and crafts people. The plan involves bringing services together, group buying, or joint selling to achieve larger scale. Good logistics are essential for the infrastructure and supply chain. The One District One Product (ODOP) approach means each district focuses on specific items. Each state will focus on one food product, but only if it has the systems to manage perishable goods, which is crucial for building infrastructure and supply chains. This setup will provide shared infrastructure, marketing, and branding for the ODOP products. States and regions will also get market and brand support for districts that don't have any ODOP products. The Department of Commerce can now find specific products in different areas. This is made easier for exporters by the new export policy.
