Technology Driven Solutions for Enhancing Supply Chain Effectiveness in MSME’s

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a pivotal role in global economic development but frequently face challenges in managing their supply chains efficiently. This paper highlights the pressing need to strengthen supply chain management (SCM) practices within MSMEs and to make essential tools and knowledge more accessible to these businesses. Drawing from existing literature and established frameworks, the study outlines practical strategies that MSMEs can adopt to enhance their supply chain operations. A key contribution of this work is the development of a real time supply chain monitoring dashboard using Power BI and Excel, showcasing how technology can be effectively leveraged to improve visibility, decision making, and overall supply chain performance in the MSME sector. Additionally, the paper incorporates algorithmic solutions for optimizing the transportation model and Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP), further enhancing operational efficiency including an Affordable ERP Alternative for MSMEs Using Supply Chain Tools.
