The rapid evolution of automation technology has revolutionized daily life, simplifying tasks and enhancing efficiency across all domains. In contemporary society, there is a clear preference for automatic systems over manual processes, driven by their reliability and effectiveness. The widespread adoption of the Internet over the past decade has cemented its status as an integral aspect of modern life, with the Internet of Things (IoT) emerging as a pivotal advancement in this digital landscape. IoT represents a burgeoning network of interconnected objects, ranging from industrial machinery to everyday consumer products, capable of seamlessly exchanging data and executing tasks autonomously, alleviating mundane activities' burdens. At the same time, individuals are engaged in other pursuits.
Wireless Home Automation Systems (WHAS) utilizing IoT technology epitomize this convergence of automation and connectivity, enabling users to effortlessly control essential household functions and devices remotely from anywhere in the world via computers or mobile devices. These automated homes, often called smart homes, are designed to enhance convenience, conserve energy and streamline human efforts. By leveraging cloud networking and wireless communication, the Home Automation System (HAS) presented in this paper, utilizing Intel Galileo, empowers users with remote control over various appliances and utilities within their homes while facilitating data storage and management in the cloud. Furthermore, the system's adaptability to sensor data ensures dynamic adjustments in real-time, all while remaining cost-effective and scalable to accommodate a diverse range of devices and user needs.
