Abstract

This study explores the various dimensions of cybercrime, including its key characteristics, underlying motives, and evolving attack methodologies. It further examines AI-driven security approaches as a crucial countermeasure against emerging threats. Artificial Intelligence (AI) plays a pivotal role in cybersecurity by enabling automated threat detection, real-time risk assessment, and predictive analytics for identifying potential breaches before they materialize. Through an extensive review of existing literature and case studies, this study highlights the efficacy of AI-based security mechanisms in mitigating cyber risks and enhancing digital resilience. Furthermore, the study identifies critical challenges associated with AI adoption in cybersecurity, such as adversarial AI threats, ethical considerations, and data privacy concerns. The research underscores the need for continuous innovation, cross-sector collaboration, and international cooperation to combat the ever-evolving landscape of cybercrime effectively.
