Abstract

This paper introduces an analog power meter to measure power parameters such as active, regenerative, and power output and consumption. An energy meter is a device that plays a vital role in measuring the energy consumption of all consumers in the house. Therefore, this project aims to design a three-phase system model electricity meter and verify its efficiency. Different loads, such as electric load (R load), resistive-inductive load (R-L load), and resistive-capacitive load (R-C load), are examined to analyze the performance of the meter. In this project, an electricity meter model is developed using MATLAB/Simulink software. This electric meter model includes volta, current, load, power, and power meters. Smart energy measurement and calculation with MATLAB provides a modern way to monitor and manage energy efficiency. The increasing demand for energy and the need for sustainable and efficient energy use have led to the development of smart systems that can instantly measure, analyze, and calculate energy consumption. The system uses powerful computing tools like MATLAB to simulate and process data from various energy measurement devices, such as smart meters and IoT devices. MATLAB is used to create data collection, analysis, and visualization algorithms that allow users to monitor energy use, detect inefficiencies, and optimize usage patterns. The smart machine also integrates renewable energy sources to help balance energy consumption and reduce costs. This approach can be used in residential, commercial, and industrial environments and provides practical and reasonable energy monitoring solutions.
