Abstract

This paper extensively reviews the security requirements, applications, and prevailing challenges and threats associated with 6G wireless communication networks. Recently, 6G technology has garnered significant interest from both industry and academia. The study delves into the development of 6G wireless technologies, addressing the security concerns and technical limitations of 5G networks alongside key system enhancements over earlier wireless generations. The paper highlights the importance of comparative analyses in addressing security issues and wireless device communications, emphasizing innovative advancements necessary to drive transformative changes for 6G. Initially, the authors outline the evolution of wireless communication networks and the spectrum of security threats. They then examine the prospective applications of 6G technologies. The paper concludes with an in-depth exploration of security concerns, research gaps, and potential solutions that facilitate critical advancements in 6G technology.
